Our Mission in Action: Accessibility and Community-Based Care

At Sub Rosa Therapy, we believe that healing should be accessible, community-rooted, and sustainably supported. Our mission is not only to provide high-quality care—but to do so in ways that strengthen local systems and reduce barriers for those most in need.

We put this mission into practice in the following ways:

  1. Spravato Access for Depression and Suicidality
We are proud to offer Spravato, an FDA-approved treatment for treatment-resistant depression and suicidality, which is covered by most insurance policies. While Spravato is sourced from outside the region, it serves as a financial engine that supports our broader goal of reinvesting in the Bozeman community.

At Sub Rosa, all Spravato sessions are attended by trained sitters, including both medical and mental health professionals, who help establish a safe and supportive set and setting. They also support clients in beginning to integrate the experience, so that the treatment can meaningfully contribute to the healing process.

  2. Mental Health Scholarship Partnerships
We maintain active partnerships with scholarship programs like Suffer Out Loud (Bozeman, MT) and Thank You Life (Austin, TX) to support need-based access to psychedelic therapy.

  3. In-Network Insurance Contracts
Sub Rosa has established contracts with most private insurance providers, as well as federal Medicare, Montana Medicaid, and VA TRICARE programs, expanding access to services for a broad range of clients.

  4. Comprehensive Medical Billing
We offer full-service billing support to reduce administrative barriers and ensure clients can access care through their insurance plans whenever possible.

  5. Sliding Scale Ketamine-Assisted Therapy
We offer a need-based sliding scale for clients working with Sub Rosa therapists who are seeking Ketamine-Assisted Therapy. If you think you may qualify, please reach out to us directly.

  6. Embedding the Pollination Approach
    Inspired by the
Pollination Approach developed by Bennet A. Zelner for MAPS-PBC (now Lykos Therapeutics), we are gradually integrating its principles into our operations. This includes building strong, unpaid referral relationships with local providers, prioritizing local sourcing, offering equitable access through public programs, and exploring future pathways for more cooperative governance and community-rooted decision making.
