Counseling for Teens and Young Adults
Inclusive, Identity-Affirming Support for Life in Transition
Growing up in today’s world is not easy. Whether you’re navigating high school, college, or the messy in-between space of young adulthood, it can feel like everything is changing all the time—and you’re supposed to have it all figured out.
You don’t have to.
Our therapists are here to support you through it all: the pressure, the uncertainty, the grief, the anxiety, and the confusion that can come with this incredibly important (and incredibly intense) stage of life. Our work is grounded in relational therapy, which means we center the healing power of human connection—and create a space where you can show up exactly as you are.
For High Schoolers:
High school comes with a thousand unspoken expectations. You might be juggling:
Academic stress or burnout
Body image or self-worth struggles
Peer pressure and friend drama
Dating, identity exploration, or breakups
Family conflict
Questions about the future and who you want to become
Maybe you spend a lot of time comparing yourself to others, feeling like you’re behind, not enough, or just wrong somehow. Maybe you feel anxious all the time, or like you're supposed to be someone you're not.
We offer a safe space to explore all of this, to learn how to actually listen to yourself instead of your inner critic, and to build self-trust as you navigate a complicated world.
There is no roadmap. Only rhythm, intuition, and your willingness to meet the moment as yourself.
For College Students & Emerging Adults:
Young adulthood is full of unknowns. Whether you’re in college, working full time, taking a gap year, caregiving, or figuring out your next steps—it can feel like you’re constantly being asked to define who you are without enough time to actually find out.
You might be living away from home for the first time, navigating intense coursework, long shifts, financial pressure, relationship dynamics, or the weight of expectations—yours and everyone else’s. It’s exciting, but also overwhelming, lonely, and sometimes disorienting.
We often support clients in this stage of life with:
Social anxiety or isolation
Academic or work-related burnout
Identity development (race, gender, sexuality, neurodivergence, spirituality)
Grief or trauma from past relationships or formative experiences
Family stress and boundary-setting
Major life decisions and existential dread (high student loans and climate crisis)
No plan needed. No fixing required. You’re in the middle of becoming.
We welcome clients navigating complex systems—whether you’re on Medicaid, not in school, or simply feeling left out of mainstream narratives about success. You still belong here.
No plan needed. No fixing required. You’re in the middle of becoming.
What Makes Our Work Different
We approach therapy with teens and young adults as a collaborative relationship rooted in deep respect, curiosity, and care.
All of our work is:
Relationally Based – We don’t see you as a “problem to fix.” We work with who you are, how you connect, and how your experiences have shaped you.
Identity Affirming – We honor and uplift your unique identity—whether you're exploring it for the first time or defending it daily.
Culturally Responsive – We recognize the impact of systems like racism, white supremacy, classism, ableism, fatphobia, and heteronormativity on mental health.
Equitable and Inclusive – Our goal is to make therapy feel like a space that truly includes you—your voice, your experiences, your values.
Individualized – We use a range of modalities depending on your needs.
