Dalila Franklin, PMHNP-BC
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
Dalila Franklin is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) who conducts psychiatric diagnostic evaluations at Sub Rosa Therapy for clients seeking Spravato (esketamine) or ketamine-assisted therapy (KAT). With a clinical foundation in both psychopharmacology and psychotherapeutic care, Dalila brings a grounded, relational approach to each assessment, ensuring that treatment recommendations are thoughtful, individualized, and trauma-informed.
Dalila completed her postgraduate psychiatric residency at the Montana VA Healthcare System, where she provided comprehensive mental health care to veterans navigating complex psychiatric, medical, and neurocognitive challenges. During her time at the VA, she managed patients with PTSD, mood disorders, anxiety, psychosis, substance use disorders, and traumatic brain injuries, gaining deep experience in interdisciplinary collaboration and whole-person care. She also facilitated psychoeducation groups and skillfully integrated cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing into her clinical work.
Before becoming a nurse practitioner, Dalila spent nearly a decade as a registered nurse in emergency departments, inpatient psychiatric units, and neurology progressive care. Her nursing career sharpened her skills in crisis stabilization, medication management, and compassionate de-escalation—core strengths she brings into every client interaction today. Dalila holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from the University of Missouri–St. Louis and is certified in psychiatric care across the lifespan by the ANCC.
At Sub Rosa Therapy, Dalila works in close partnership with the medical director and therapy team to assess clinical appropriateness for psychedelic and interventional psychiatric treatments. Her evaluations prioritize safety, integrity, and a deep respect for the vulnerability involved in seeking healing through these modalities. She sees her work as part of a larger commitment to accessible, values-driven care—and to creating spaces where clients feel genuinely seen, heard, and supported.
Dalila is a member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association (APNA) and the Neuroscience Education Institute (NEI). Outside of her clinical work, she enjoys spending time with family, al fresco dining, live music, book clubs, and summer.
